Commercial Ponds, Lakes and Fountains
Water features for campuses, hotels and communities: ponds, shoreline planting, fountains, aeration and edge care that stay clear and attractive.
A well-kept pond or lake is the centerpiece of many commercial and community properties. It draws the eye, supports wildlife and gives walking paths and clubhouses a setting. A neglected one does the opposite, with green algae, muddy banks, dead fish smells and cattails that take over the edge. In Middle Tennessee’s warm, nutrient-rich conditions, ponds need steady management, because runoff from lawns and parking lots feeds algae and sediment fills the basin year by year. Fountains and aerators help, but only when sized and installed correctly.
We help owners create and care for water features. For new ponds, we coordinate with engineers on excavation, liners and outlets, then handle edge stabilization, shoreline planting and walkways. For existing ponds, we repair banks, install or service fountains and aeration, manage shoreline plants and keep edges clean. We design planted buffers that filter runoff and discourage geese, and we install lighting for evening effects. Water-quality treatments, fish stocking and dredging involve specialists, and we coordinate those when needed so the pond stays healthy and attractive.

Ponds and Fountains FAQ
Do fountains clean the water?
Fountains and aerators add oxygen and movement, which helps, but they do not fix nutrient problems on their own.
Can you keep geese away?
Tall native shoreline plants and buffers make banks less attractive to geese.
Do you do algae treatment?
We coordinate with water-quality specialists for algae and chemical or biological treatments.
Can you add a boardwalk or seating?
Yes, with proper permits where required.
How often should ponds be inspected?
At least seasonally, and after major storms.
