Scope of Work and Bid Support
Help writing landscape scopes, RFPs and bid comparison sheets so managers and boards can compare contractors fairly.
Landscape bids are hard to compare because they rarely describe the same work. One contractor includes spring cleanup and mulch, another does not. One cuts weekly all year, another every other week in summer. One lists fertilizer and weed control as optional extras and another folds them in. A manager who simply picks the lowest number often ends up with the least work, followed by a string of extra charges. A clear scope of work and a consistent bid format solve that, putting every contractor on the same footing and giving the board something it can defend.
We help managers and boards write scopes and request bids. That can mean preparing a property map and area list, defining tasks and frequencies, listing seasonal services and options, setting expectations for response time and reporting and creating a bid form so every contractor prices the same items. We can also review incoming bids, flag missing items and build a side-by-side comparison. Though we may bid ourselves, we are happy to supply a neutral scope that any contractor can use, because a clear scope protects the property and leads to better results with whichever contractor is chosen.

Bid Support FAQ
Can you prepare a scope even if we hire someone else?
Yes. A clear scope helps any contractor and protects the property.
Do you help compare bids?
Yes. We can review bids and flag differences in scope and frequency.
Should I choose the lowest bid?
Not automatically. Compare scope, frequency, communication and references, not just price.
How long does scope preparation take?
Usually a few days after the property walk.
Is there a charge?
Basic scope help is part of our free proposal process. Larger projects can be scoped separately.
