HOA Tree and Canopy Management
Planned care for community trees: inventory, pruning cycles, hazard review, removals and replanting that protect people and property value.
Mature trees are one of the biggest assets a community owns, and one of the biggest liabilities when they are ignored. Oaks, maples and poplars planted when the neighborhood was built now overhang roofs, sidewalks and parking areas. In the Nashville area, storms bring down limbs, drought and construction stress roots and fast-growing species outlive their safe years. Without a plan, a board ends up reacting to one emergency after another, with costs that land in the middle of a budget year.
A canopy management program replaces reaction with a calendar. We walk the community, record the trees that matter and rank them by condition and location. Then we propose a multi-year pruning cycle, schedule removals for trees that are dead or unsafe, and plan replanting so the canopy renews itself with species that suit the site. Emergency response is available when storms hit, and every step is documented, which helps boards show residents and insurers that the association is managing risk responsibly.

Dead, leaning or structurally weak trees are scheduled before they fail.

Canopy Management FAQ
Do you inventory every tree?
We focus on common-area trees that affect people, structures and budgets, and we record condition and priority.
How often should trees be pruned?
Many communities use a rotation of every three to five years by area, adjusted for species and growth.
Who is responsible for a fallen tree?
It depends on where the tree stands and your documents, so the board should know which trees are common property.
Can you help us budget over several years?
Yes. We spread pruning, removal and replanting across years so costs are steady.
Do you handle storm emergencies?
Yes. We offer emergency response and cleanup after storms.
