Commercial Sod Installation
Instant turf for new buildings, renovations and repairs: grading, soil prep, quality sod and an establishment plan.
When a commercial project needs a green lawn now, sod is the answer. It stops erosion immediately, looks finished the day it goes down and allows a building or community to open on time without waiting weeks for seed to fill in. But sod only performs as well as the ground under it. On red clay construction sites, compacted subgrade and rubble are the real reasons sod fails, not the grass itself. In Nashville, a good sod job starts with grading and soil work and ends with a careful watering plan during the critical first weeks.
We install sod for new construction, renovations and large repairs. The work includes fine grading to drain, loosening compacted soil, adding topsoil or compost where needed, applying starter fertilizer and laying sod in a staggered pattern with tight seams and trimmed edges. We select grass type for the site, using turf-type tall fescue for shade and general use, bermuda or zoysia in full sun, and we deliver and lay the sod the same day to protect its quality. A watering schedule and a mowing start date are provided, and we can maintain the new turf during establishment.

Sod Installation FAQ
When is the best time to lay sod?
Fall and spring are ideal for fescue, and late spring through summer for bermuda and zoysia.
How soon can people walk on it?
Light traffic is fine after a couple of weeks, with heavier use after the roots knit into the soil.
What if the site is shady?
Turf-type tall fescue is the usual choice for shade, and heavy shade may need beds instead.
Do you provide watering instructions?
Yes. New sod needs frequent, light watering for the first weeks and we explain the schedule.
Can you handle large areas?
Yes. We install by the pallet and coordinate deliveries for large projects.
